Solemn opening of "Pressure sewage collector from pumping plant of Svjatoshino Residential Area  to the Chumakovsky gravity-flowing collector" facility took place at 11:00 on 16th of December. Construction of sewage collector was implemented within the framework of program of social -economic and cultural development of Kiev City for the purpose of provision of reliable functioning of sewerage grids of Svjatoshinsky District. On the occasion of construction completion and facility commissioning, the press conference has been organized for mass-media at which the Chairman of Kiev City State Administration Alexander Popov was present.

During press conference, Anatoly Galchuk, General Director of "Concern" Kievpodzemdorstroj" gave an account on facility construction which was carried out during 6 years - from December 2005 till December 2011. Then the collector’s relaying has been carried out​​, where pipes of 700 mm diameter were replaced with 1000 mm pipes thus allowing to increase throughput  capability of collecting channel to 1427 liters per second.

Anatoly Galchuk also announced the opening of 3 more facilities which are to be put into operation till the end of 2011 - from December, 27 till December, 30:
pressure collectors No. 1 and No. 2 from "Mikil’ska Borshchagivka No. 1" sewage pumping station (2 lines) in Svjatoshinsky District of Kiev City;
pressure sewage collector No. 1 from "Mikil’ska Borshchagivka No. 2"  sewage pumping station in Svjatoshinsky District of Kiev City;
sewage collector along Stolichny Highway in Kiev City.

At the end of celebration event Alexander Popov personally carried out  pressure sewerage operation’s startup.
